Eyesea Quick Start

1. VIEWING TRASH MAPS

On our map, recovered pollution is shown by a green pin, reported / unrecovered by a red pin.
You can see your own reports in MY TRASH Tab and the reports from all over the world in the ALL TRASH tab. They both work the same.

There are some filters available for both tabs under the Filter button in the right upper corner.

In the map itself there are automatic filters active, so you don’t see exactly all the pins of the reports.To be sure you see everything in the area on your screen activate “Search this area” button every time you move the map.

You can scroll through all the reports by using the arrow buttons.
The icon will centre the map at your current position.

3. REPORTING POLLUTION

Go to the Camera icon and take a picture of the pollution. Mark type of pollution and set status to Recovered or Reported. Images are anonymous. To protect your privacy, we do not record which images you made using the app.

In the Camera screen you can acces your camera roll to upload pictures you have taken before. Pin the right position in the screen before hitting Report/Recovered button.

4. AWARDS & RANKING

Every picture, every report earns you, your ship or organisation one point. You can see those in the awards section. Every quarter the ranking is set to zero and you get another chance at being the #1. Your and your ship or organisations total number is still counting on though and can be seen at top of the Ranking screen or in your Profile page.

5. REGISTRATION & PROFILE

You can register as a public user or as a user under a ship or organisation, the menus to do so should autocomplete after writing the first letter. By sing the Edit icon you can put yourself under a Ship or Organisation at any time.

6. SETTINGS / DATA MANAGEMENT

Settings can be found in the upper left corner of almost all the menus.
The App must be open to upload pictures. 3 settings control your mobile data usage.

WIFI: any pictures taken through the app will be queued and will only be uploaded once app is open under WiFi access.

MOBILE DATA : pictures collected will be uploaded immediately using your mobile data. If coverage is bad in your area or mobile data is expensive for you, don’t use this setting.
